1. Information We Collect

Deepsite is designed to be low-friction. Here's what we may collect:

• URLs you submit for scanning — used solely to perform the requested scan and return results to you.
• Basic usage analytics (page views, feature usage) via privacy-respecting tools — no personal identifiers.
• Browser type, device type, and general geographic region via standard server logs.
• Error logs to help us diagnose and fix issues.

We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information, as Deepsite requires no login.

2. How We Use Your Information

Information collected is used only to:

• Perform the website scan you requested and return results.
• Improve the accuracy, speed, and reliability of Deepsite.
• Diagnose bugs and technical issues.
• Understand how features are used in aggregate (e.g., "how many scans per day").

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating and improving Deepsite.

3. URLs You Scan

When you submit a URL to Deepsite, our server fetches that URL to extract design tokens, tech stack signals, security headers, SEO data, and performance metrics. This is similar to how a search engine crawler or browser would request the page.

Scanned URLs may be retained in server logs for up to 30 days for debugging purposes, after which they are deleted. We do not build profiles or histories of scanned URLs per user.

Important: Only scan websites you have permission to analyze. Do not use Deepsite to scan private, authenticated, or confidential systems.

4. Third-Party Services

Deepsite uses the following third-party services that may process limited data:

• Google PageSpeed Insights API — used to retrieve Lighthouse performance scores for scanned URLs. Google's privacy policy applies.
• Vercel — our hosting platform. Vercel may log request metadata per their privacy policy.
• Anthropic Claude API — used to analyze and summarize scan results. Prompts include scanned URL content. Anthropic's data usage policy applies.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

Deepsite does not use tracking cookies. We may use browser localStorage to temporarily store scan results within your browser session for performance. This data never leaves your device.

6. Data Sharing & Selling

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Period.

We may disclose information only if required by law (e.g., a valid legal order), and only to the extent legally required.

7. Data Security

All data transmitted to and from Deepsite is encrypted via HTTPS. We apply security best practices including the security headers you can verify by scanning your own site with Deepsite.

No system is 100% secure. We encourage you not to submit sensitive or confidential URLs through Deepsite.

8. Children's Privacy

Deepsite is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through our service, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

• The right to know what data we hold about you.
• The right to request deletion of your data.
• The right to opt out of any data processing.

Since we collect minimal data and require no account, there is typically little to nothing to delete. To make a request, email us at the address below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Deepsite after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
